Adib's Blog: Wireless Keyboard

After trying Nazley's wireless keyboard, I decided to have one for myself. To-day,I went to MyGadget and got one for RM 200. So far, it works fine and I love it. To solve the problem on using in landscape mode,Vincent told me to set my T3 to left-handed at the preference section. There is no need to use control -delete. Once, I resolve my problems to send email from my pda, I will try write my blog The Reader( http://adib.typepad.com) and post it direct to my blog at typepad.com.

Out-Going Mail

When I am using my streamyx broadband at home, I always got problems to send emails from my jaring or mac a/c.The only way is through a web-based application. Now, I am having similar problem with my palm. I can get mails, but not sending email:-((

At last, I Have Got Mail

After a few tries and checking with the guide-lines at Palmx.org( Thanks agaian to Dr Azmi and Nazley),I managed to download email from my T3 via BT T610! Luckily, I don't have to do any hard reset like Dr Jamal. Now, I am looking forward to get a compact wireless keyboard for my T3.

Bluejacking by AlBaker

Thank you Al-Baker for telling me that what I did by going into "connectivity" is for pairing of pda and not the way to bluejack. Thank you for showing me how to bluejacking. By next BTM, I should know how to bluejack my fellow palmx users.

Bluejack Test

To-day, after learning howto bluejack from albaker,I set my hp T610 to scan for other BT phones around me at Asian Flavours,KLCC. To my lovely suprise, I saw two phones-Pitts and Alberto. When I wanted to send them "Have a Nice Day " message, my phone prompt me to input passkey. Then I dared not press the send buttons. I need to learn more from alBaker or Bubba.

SMS connections

Last night,Nazley helped to set up my connection for my T3. Thanks Nazley. But when it comes to my email(using versamail), I am having DNS problems. I After that , I try a celcom chip belonging to my wife hp using my T|W, and great it works for my sms!

Back to Broadband in KL

Now, I am back in KL since Saturday afternoon. During travelling, my Palm Quran is very handy.I don't have to carry my small Quran anymore. There are many more features of my T3 that I have yet to explore... Taking the cue from DR Azmi, I am now s-low-ly reading my T610 manual;-)

Low bandwith @My Kampung

Now, I am back at my kampung to celebrate Eidul Fitri. As far as my palm goes,it works fine except with connectivity to sms and emails. These, according my son-sucks,really sucks. Even my dial-up connection using my iBook is unstable-kadang ada, kadang tak dok!!! This ,IMHO, is a form of digital divide that political masters must address.Leaving to corporate executives, they are only interested in looking at quarterly ROI and bottom lines only.

Sending email

After I have to reset my T3, I have the problem to send email via versamail. After tap to send email, the processes of connecting, signing on and establishing the contact and getting into smtp server were fine. When it starts sending, the an error message came back with a relay problem. Did I change the setting whcih Dr Azmi helped to set? Your comment, please. Thank you.

Document To Go

To-day I got nasty experience using the above. it started to download all my ebooks from my SD card. When I tab on a big file, my T3 started to download all the file contents and hung on me! Then I restored bak alll the file from my bakup file from my SD card. It copied all except the setting of my network.Luckily I remember what Dr Azmi did to set up my email. It works. Then I tap on my Avantgo, then it started to hang requesting for reset. After I reset, then my Avantgo works again. Now, I dared not use my Doc2Go:-(( I suspect something is not right with my bundled Doc2Go.Now, I am updating it and try to reinstal. Any comments?

T3 Updated

It was a breathless exercise for me to update the system softwares for my T3.I am so scared that things can go wrong. The streamyx at my home was so slow to download the software. It took almost 45 minutes to download and I am afraid that streamyx may play havoc with corrupted softwares. And the same time, I am also scared that I may not followed the instruction properly. It took another 30 minutes to get synchronised and configured. Thanks to Allah swt;everything went well...

Ramadhan BTM

Last night, my extreme palms gang had a Ramadhan BTM at SFC,Ampang Point. Thanks to Dr Azmi for getting my T3 to get connected to my emails a/c and to Nazley for showing me how to use my camera functions in my brand new T610. Mixing with this bunch of palm enthusiasts made me feel like a kid again exploring the potential of technology to the limits! Present were: Dr Azmi, Hisham,Jiwa,Hasni,Nazley, Asri and me.

T160+T3 combined

First, my thanks to Nazley for taking time to assist me to set up the two devices to work together. Now, I can send and receive sms, dial a contact from my T3 and he also tried BT jacking! My next lesson to learn on how to send text and picture via email.
At last, I have decided to change my aging and discoloured Tungsten T|W to Tungsten T3 and upgrade my hp from Nokia 3310 to Sony Ericsson T610 .All in all plus a pouch for my new hp, it cost me RM 2720 . For the record, all this money was spent at Low Yat complex on 11.11.2003. I will blog more about these cool toys later...
Met a fellow palmx member this morning after along silence from both of us. He is now using iPaq and I am still with PalmOS. I loaned him a book called World Arrogance by Dr Ahmad Zidan.

Failure to start

It is a front page news in the NST to-day.The Work Minister warned to terminate contractors that fail to start work within a month from the date of possesion of site. The main reason is to avoid delays in project implementation. As a student of project management( I also teach sometimes), we must list down ALL type of delays and the major causes of project delay. When we understand what, where, who, why, when and how, then only we can properly address the issue. How about the higher issues of achieving project goals and objectives? IMHO,most projects will have problems due to incompetent stakeholders. Failure to start is failure to complete.
I tried to use Relate but could not.May be ,I have to ask Nazley at the coming BTM on 2nd August,2003 at Strudel,KL Sentral at 2:30pm.

Risk management

I am pleasantly suprised when a friend talked about risk management in his company projects. He is the project director in his company and he told me the project get into problems not because of technology but due to problems from his people. That is music to my ears. And thank God, this gentleman knows something about project management. Many pretend they know a lot about project management;in fact they know very little. Then, as usual, I began to talk more than I am supposed to in this subject of my passion. What else? I ended getting a talk to deliver to my friend's staff on 7.8.2003 .That is my small contribution to the good project management practice in Malaysia. My first guru in project management told me that 80% of PM is risk management. He agreed.

School Lab Project

According to newspapers reports, the Minister of Education blamed solely the PMC and the Contractor for the delays. The MOE is just the project owner.Period! Who appointed the PMC and the Contractor? Does outsourcing the work to others relieve the responsibility and accountability of the project owner?
To-day I conmpleted the part 11 of JKR PM course for 3rd batch. A few of them said that our course should also be given to the project people at state level. My team has taken note as were customers focussed and we practise PM methodology ourselves. Next week, we will come with proposals. My partner bought two latest books on PM.I think they are also good for my reference. One is Portable MBA in Project Management by Eric Virzuh and the other is from UK.
JKR requires that contractor must submit a program of work within 14 days. What quality of work program can contractor comes up within such a short time? It will be full of assumptions and certainly there will be a lot of uncertainties built within the program. I think three months is more appropriate.
On the 7th of July,2003, I am starting another session on PM course. Books recommended for further reading: 1. PMBOK-Project management body of knowledge-PMI 2. The fast Forward MBA in Project Management- Eric Virzuh 3. Project Management for Dummies-Stanley E Portny
I was glad to meet one of my course participant in PM who told me that now he is better equiped to deal with the contarctors. And last night ,he was telling me that he has problem with KTM and he treated it as a work package .He also mentioned about stakeholders management. Wow, I am happy for him.
After my isyak prayers, a group of us went for TT.(teh tarik). When I raised the issue to my friend( ex-Col) about the the project fiasco that was splashed on the front page of a local paper to-day, he said simply: We donnot have the right culture! No matter what system and procedure you use,the people must have the good values . I rest my case. I concur,Sire.
I just ordered my T-short with Palmx logo + my glamour name MacAddict;-) Any one laughing? Siapa ketawa dia akan kena jual oleh P Ramlee;-0
Commets from KFJ on 16/3/2003 I personally agree with you AbeDib! My experience with TH when I performed Hajj last season made me rate them overall as "satisfactory"...lots can be improved. Mua'sassah is, well how should I put it....perhaps "second class" citizen when it comes to Hajj, we were placed in buildings further away from the Baitullah al Haram, the jumrahs and Masjid Nabawi. The food was "eatable" but after 3-4 weeks, we opted to purchase our own food, and pity those who have just enough to spend for the season...but of course the main reason we were there was to perform Hajj....not eat! What I am really upset is when they use our Hajj as the reason to kind of "protect" their position - "sabar, kena banyak sabar, cubaan etc.." I mean if the same complaints are being placed every season by the pilgrims, something must be wrong somewhere. But then again, AbeDib, based on my personal observation, not stereo-typing the "t
Front page in Sunday Times: Deviations in Army projects. Amount RM 114millions! How could this happened in a structured, rigid command and control administration like the Army? May be I should offer my project management course to Mindef?
According to my fellow partner, he said that project management is not as difficult as calculating the stress/strain analysis as what the engineers had to go through in their education process , but it a lot of work that need to be done. May I add, that project managers need to REALLY understand the concept of PM and the context/environment where the projects are being implemented.
How glad I am that now I can use praymind with my palm T|W. Thanks to Tasmin. You can get the software at http://www.sajda.com
To-day, I started another course for a group of professionals from a BIG consulting firm. I am monitoring the situation. Most of them are planning and design professionals. My team job is enable them with knowledge, skills and tools/techniques to better manage their projects. It takes to tango..
Phew! Just completed a PM Course on another batch of 24 professionals ! Thanks Allah swt that we did quite well from the response that we had. However, we must continue to listen and learn from my customers. Then only we will LEAD.
Yesterday, I lost my ear-phones for my palm T|W.Be careful, it is so easy to misplace and to drop when I put in my trousers pocket. Now, I can't answer any call at all from my palm:=((((
My retired friend just sent me an email. He said he is going to hold a wedding for his daughter by end of this year, and he also registered to go for Haj and start a business. That is three projects in ojne year!!! I will try to assist him.
At last ,Mus has come to my help to get my Palm T|W properly sync with Entourage. Thanks to everyone at imacusers meeting to-day that helped me with my mac/palm interface problems.
I have a great time with fellow palmxers at Starbuck ,KL sentral to-day. My mathlib is still giving problem. and I still can't get my palm to sync with my entourage:-((
Yesterday, I passed through a road in Pahang. I was shocked to see the level of PM by the contractors in doing million ringgit projects. Looking back to the number of projects given out by the government, Malaysian contractors who keep on getting jobs should have improved by now. Now I believed what my guru said that no matter how much works they do , they will never learn and will keep making mistakes all the time. Why?
I am glad to record that I can send email from my palm even though I was in Bentong ,Pahang to-day.What comes to my mind is how am I going to use IT in project management??
Below is a short note Palm T|W( not a review): I bought my palm T|W on 13/4/03 after waiting for months for Palm/Sony to come out with "my perfect specs " for my pda. That was the day my patience ran out:-) My perfect specs never turn up so I have to be contented with at least 80% meeting the "my" requirements. Before this purchase,I used Handera. And before that,I was very satisfied with my Palm111c. It is coloured, has infra-red to communicate with my siemens hp and a good pda for my needs. This experience leads me to demand at least what I used to get if not better. I would say I use my palm in equal proportion as pim(organiser) and a communication tool( may be 50% each). Therefore, I need something that has strong features in these two areas.Below I list the reasons of my choice: What made me buy Tungsten T|W: 1. Palm OS-it is better tham windoz 2. Colour-good my aging eye-sights(Handera has good functions but sadly not colour
My email reply: That is a nice email to receive when someone offer his help because he benefitted from our efforts. This ,to me ,demonstrated WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND. If we do good things to others, they will come back ;sometimes in manifolds and in unexpected way;-) KEEP THE GOOD WORK, GUYS. Abedib, who inspires others. Been using one since 2000 (Palm Vx) and have been grateful to it. Been following you guys since the inception. Been very quiet and have not had the time to contr
Just came from a wedding function. We had to wait for 30 minutes due to shortage of foods. In Malaysia, it is almost impossible to estimate how many people will come to your family wedding. My cousin invited one thousand ,but he anticipated two thousand people will come but the two thousand also come with additional kids. The only way is to get extra foods on stand by with with the cooks . This is the most difficult part in scope management if we treat wedding as a project;-0
A contractor friend told me about his business philosophy-sub all work to ensure you lock in your profit. When I asked why he did not do thw weork himself and make extra profit, he told me his people will cheat him and he has lost money. In Malaysia, many main contractors are just project managers.
To-day I install additional RAM of 512MB to my iBook . Now, I notice a marked difference in speed of downloading especially from the Internet.
After I re-install my web clipping softwares, I discovered that my plog still does not work. When I want to reinstall plog, it is not reachable via Internet:-((
I am saved by the 'email' I received via my Palm T|W when I received an email from my client to have a meeting to-day at 4pm. If I were to check my email at home to-night,then I sure will miss the meeting to-day. Now, the cost of my new "toy" is paid in full;-)) {this is my own way to justify my expensive hobby}
To-day,I received an email from a friend who attended a course my partners have conducted for the past 8days. He valued it 10 times than what is being paid! That makes another day for me:-)) It reconfirmed my aspiration to be a teacher. But I must be warned: WHO DARES TO TEACH MUST NEVER CEASE TO LEARN....
My palm T|W is very good in getting emails and sms! But when it rings, then I must be looking for head-phones;-) That is the only snags so far. But I cannot use avanto with my iBook and have problems with praymind. As far as phone is concerned, I prefer my simple Nokia 3310 for its pure simplicity!
Just came back from attending My Gadget Opening at Low Yatt Plaza. In my hurry due to traffic jam, I went into a shop next to it by the name of Digital Gadget and bought USB hotsync cable for RM 9.90( This thing normally cost a few times more). It was really a bargain in a different shop.
When I wanted to post my blog from my palm TW this morning, I could not do that because some web clippings are missing some where.
I am going to visit the new kid on the block- The Gadget at Low Yat Plaza to-day. The event is from 3pm to 6pm. See you guys there;-)
How do I go about translating ideas into reality? One management consultant who turned himself into a writer has this to say: Concentrate on the process of becoming a writer. and less on dreaming to be a writer. Personally, I love to write;in fact I write everyday in my blogs and in my special interests mailinglist with the hope one day day I could work on a book( any genre) and become a writer. I think project management methodology is quite applicable in turning myself into a management consultant and later to be a writer;-) When we talk about ideas, we must be able to articulate and to validate before we create a project. My friend Peter is helping me on this aspect. Thanks Peter.
Now, I began to understand why teachers remain as teachers despite their low income and degrading respect by materialistic society. When we finished our second module to train JKR professionals , a few of them thanked us for opening their eyes to elevate them to the next level of knowledge, undertanding and competence in managing their projects. We even provoked them to re-examine their axioms, premises and assumptions to the brink of ridicules. I feel grateful and proud( in all humility) to be part of a team that taught the elephants on how to dance. The earth is vibrating when the elephant starts to dance. The rest in ther 'animal' kingdom will follow soon. This is a joy that one gets for being a member of a team that makes a difference. Let's get M.A.D Only crazy people creates the change. Normal people remains complacent in status quo forever.
Thanks to Mr Leong who installed back my webpro! Now I am testing a project intranet. Yes I can access but the screen is too small for me use.
Let me share with you what happened yesterday at the Project Management course for a govt. department. One engineer confided in me that he now realised the importance of having the knowledge and tools to manage his projects. He was cynical all the way until yesterday. When his department wanted to make changes and comes with new format of reporting,he told a friend that he won't do it. But now, when he gets some knowledge and realised his folly, he is all the way to support our efforts to use proper project management knowledge! He also told me this is one course that he did not sleep;-) I thought it was people ego's or arrogance that they belittle our efforts to do proper project management. Now, I also learned and realised that these people are just ignorant. I think he is not the only one who has converted. I was so happy yesterday that I rewarded myself with a cafe latte at Gloria Jeans at KLCC-sitting alone surfing the Internet using wi-fi and smiling from ear to ear....It
My new PTW(Palam Tungsten W) is working fine now. However I dare not sync with my iBook-fearing third parfty "fatal exception" errors again.
I am now testing flash mail to get my email via sms. Yes,it works but my email was truncated. The question: Is it due to my system or Flash Mail?? Any comments?
Sam told me that he managed to conclude the objective of his IT project with a client. Thank God that he did it.Now, he can concentrate of WHAT the is going to do i.e scope planning! I am glad to hear about it.
To-day is my first time doing a hard reset for my newly acquired palm T/W to removed irritating mathlib and McFile. It took Mr Leong, the store manager of D'Challenger almost 45minutes to take the softwares out and put my palm back to original set-up .
McFile and Mathlib are giving problems on Palm Tungsten W.I just want to get rid of them.Any body can help me out?
This week, my team went to Terengganu to give a talk on JKR new progress reports and its rational. About 100 persons attended the two days course-50% from JKR and the others from contractors and consultants. My observation indicated that only a few know PMBOK and also a few only who are really interested to learn. The majority is just being to learn to comply with JKR new requirement. It is their ignorance that failed to motivate them to learn to upgrade themselves to the next level of competence.
Now, Doc Azmi and Nazley are with me at SFC ,Ampang point. Doc Azmi helped me to get around to send email from my maxis gprs. Thanks to him.
To-day , I discussed PM basic concept with two of my disciples. The rest are 'busy' some where. next topic will be on planning.
any one interested to blog wirelessly from his or her Palm pda? I just did that from my Tungsten/W. It is cool....
Yesterday was the first time I gave a talk at a university. The talk was on Project Management. Ons professor whispered to me that he doesnot know even half of what I am talking about!
This morning I got a lot of help from my palmx member-friends at HUSM. We had a mini BTM and I got beamed with a few nice softwares from my friends. However, we can't resolve one problem. My prayermind is not working due to mathlib problem.I got to find out how to get rid of my 'corrupted' software:-(
My thanks and congratulation to Dr Azmi for writing such a good article on how to connect to GPRS. By doing his way, he has learned a lot. In fact, that is the way to learn- start with questions, find the possible answers and DO IT yourself, after that ponder ( think and reflect) upon it.... I am using my palm (Tungsten W) for my business as well(i.e the bill is paid for by my own company). So, I decided to go the easy way out.( no learning at all) I subscribed to maxis GPRS yesterday. After registeration, I was called into a room, then someone from maxis tinkered with phone for 15 minutes and I am connected to Maxis GPRS! Yes! GPRS is much faster than data line I normally used. And I will use it.
I tried versamail 2.0 last night and it works with my TW and celcom hp. If I want to use maxis, then I had to activate my GPRS and dataline there.
I got tough time to install my avantgo on my mac:-( Postscript: Avantgo is not compatible with my ibook using Mac OSX:-(((
Now, Nazley and me are at SFC-tinkering with my new Tunbgsten W since 9pm. Now,the time is almost 11:30pm...time togo home.
From: "M Hasni" Date: Sat Apr 12, 2003 8:14:22 PM Asia/Singapore To: "Mohd Adib Noh" Subject: Re: New colour palm;-) Abedib, I believe the TT is better than TW. Comparing TW with a Treo 270, the Handspring got my recommendation due to the fact that the TW phone need a headset to use but Treo comes as a normal phone. TW does not have BT built in but you can always add on. But what is the use since you have phone built into your PDA. Graffiti is also not there for the TW. You have to use the thumb board. Yes you may use Graffiti Anywhere but the same thing goes to TT. You don't have to open the slider all the time since you can write on the screen as well. Colour screen is a must nowadays and the TW screen is far better than the Treo. OS is also upgradeable but not Treo. That's the major thing that I see on TT, TW and Treo. Just my Two cents. MHI
Don't wonder anymore, Adib. You are going to get a colour palm by this Monday. Btw, I have just paid a deposit for Tungsten W .The price is RM 2240. It is a phone and a palm.
I reminded my friends that many of us thought that change is a VO most of the time. VO means change in scope of work( not necessarilly so). Change is ANY change that affect scope, cost and time( and I add quality and risks). Any change must be updated every month, but many assumed that once a plan is approved, everyone must abide by it all the way until end of contract.
To-day, I discovered that JKR can design projects at one -third of the cost done by the consultants! The questions lies:Can JKR deliver the goods on time?
By thye grace of Allah swt, my proposed business project will be financed via another project of a friend. This is NOT a coincidence- it is a help hand down from the heavens.
To-day, my partner and me discussed on a project. Now, we gathering data on the possible cost and solutions to our business proposal.
* is a sign of Power point slide: This is my opening speech at JKR Workshop on Project Management. *Welcome to PM World Of Knowledge-slide show as a background before the talk. *Knowledge is proud that he has learn?d so much; Wisdom is humble that he knows no more. They form a group to impart their knowledge and expertiser to those who wish to learn and provide consultancy services on request basis. We will take you on a journey to discover PM World of Knowledge in the 12 days of this course . Dr SM Yeoh, Mr Peter Wood and Mr. Lau would be talking and discussing about the
How do you go about managing your projects from a cafe? Put all your projects on Project Web Central and get all project managers to connect to that server. Not once but at least once everyday! You install the hardwares and the softwares but to make it successful, you must educate the people in project management and the use of IT for communication. Project intranets will only work if people use it. Intranet is just like a knife- just a tool. Given to unskilled, nothing happens. However, a simple knife can turn into powerful weapon if it is given to McGyver.
[4/1/2003 9:04:25 AM | Beris Man] Yesterday, I bought a book that I was looking for months. It will cost me around USD80 if I were to buy and fedex to KL from USA. But I was lucky to have to pay only RM 127 for the book at Kunikoniya. Lesson learnt: Just wait for a few months, then you can save a few hundreds bucks.if you can't wait, just buy-which I do many times! It is entitled : Building Project Management Competency Now, I have two PM books to read this month(April ,2003). Another one is Radical Project Management!
To-day I got a shock of my life when my friend told me that his company is doing multi-million ringgit project without a project report! If there is no report, how do we know the progress? What do you look for, progress report or performance report?
Many people posed me the same qquestion: What do I have to learn project management knowledge? My senior or predeccesors do NOT have to learn all these stuff and yet they have completed most of the projects? Now, I am writing a short speech to JKR 2nd PM Course. My immediate answer : My grandmother did not go to school. She is almost 90 years old and still lives till to-day. But then compare what kind of life she lives to my life who has been to school and UK for my degree. Just wait and I will try to answer the questions.

My firm XPM was honoured to-day when we are invited to give a workshop to 110 JKR contractors and consultants. The lecture hall is full with 151 people . The demand for good project management lecture is great!
My schoolmate has invited me to give a lecture at HUSM on Project Management. I am still thinking what is going to be the topic of my talk. My PM guru told me to talk about a patient as a project. Another doctor friend told me that at hospital, the clients do not decide what service they can get from the hospital. It is the other way around. The supplier of service decide what service the client get!
Last night, my psion kakis had a BTM at SFC,Ampang Point. For mobile surfing and emailing away from home/office,my netbook is quite handy and useful. However , as far PIM, my Handera is good enough. Now, I am thinking that I have too many computers/gadgets at home: 1.PC 2.PC Notebook 3.iMac 4.iBook 5.Palm 111,Handera,iPaq,Netbook 7
One Tan Sri invited me for lunch at SGC this afternoon. We discussed a few issues on project management. He said the PM knowledge is very important. Everyone should have it because everyone is involved with a project-whatever they do for a living .
My Handera still working...... Just now, I received a sms from albaker regarding new stock for psion. When I asked my son whether he really wanted the psion, he said he is not sure?? I am sure I wanted a new notebook !
On checking my Handera, I am happy to note that it is working normally-not like before when I have to reset every other day! However, I connot saved that date via hotsync to my computer becaause mine is an iBook. It needs a usb cable which my handera doesnot have:-( Anyway, I am saving all my data to SD card-just in case.
My netbook is okay after being "operated" by albaker;-) At the same time, my Handera is alive again after MHI did something to it. My partner complained about his tungsten T which he bought against my advice. He paid for about RM 1500 and he did not use at all. This is an example of 'zero knowledge' which he clearly illustrated and taught me( including himself). Now, I am planning to get a new pc notebook. My heart is with compaq tablet pc , but my mind is with Vaio from Sony. Comment are welcome before I repeat another 'zero knowledge' mistake;-)
To-day, I gave a short intro lecture at JKR when we did a refresher course on MS Project. What I emphasised was that DO NOT CONFUSE THE MAP WITH THE JOURNEY. The computerised plan/schedule etc are just digitised map. One needs a good car and driver to track through to reach one's destinations.
Again, I tried to connect my netbook via land-line to Jaring and it failed. Is it Jaring problem? Btw, I cann get connected to wifi via airzed.
I tried my net book at HUSM but it didnot work:-( May be it is due to proxy server or my latest version of opera having problem.
To-day , while I met Shamshul and Khairil Faizi at GJ , I test my netbook for Wi-fi. It did not work, may be due to weak signal.
Now, I am at GJ, KLCC-having BTM with my palmx friends(Hamid/Hasni/Nazley/Dr Azmi/Asri). After I saw Psion Netbook, I bought one with wi-fi and CF 128MB.
During my Hajj, I observed a lot of failures in which THTS had failed to apply PM in managing the Hajj program this year. Managing 50,000 pilgrims is a BIG Project and I have concluded that THTs needed a lot of help to improve their aservices.
When I was on my Hajj pilgrimage I did not use my palm except on a few occasions. My daily 'job' is quite routine and I wrote my daily journal on hard copy;-) When I came back my Handera failed me again. I said to myself "Enough is Enough!!" At least I now got a really good excuse to buy a new palm. Palm T -W appeals to me but I just want to wait for new Clie coming in April,2003.
I will be on leave for these months of January and Febuary,2003. I hope explore the world of knowledge of project management this year with more vengeance!
Yesterday(2/1/2003), I got a new Handera after exchanging with my 'kapu' old one. Thank God,Peregrine has extra stocks and they asked no questions. I just told the technical guys what happened and they decided I should get a repalcement. Now, I got to get a sync cable with usb to connect to my iBook.
This morning I tweak my Handera again. Then I changed the battery with all new battteries from Energizer. Voila! It comes alive but I bet it will resets itself again. Thank God for it. I am going to subang Jaya tomorrow or as soon as the shop open to exchange for a new one.
